West Memphis 3 DNA test results expected next month

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (WMC) – Six years after being given the green light to use new DNA technology to test the evidence, the legal team for the West Memphis 3 says the results of those tests could be done by next month.

Attorney Lonnie Soury, a spokesperson for Damien Echols, said the evidence is being handled at the Bode Technology DNA lab in Virginia. He said ligatures used to tie up 8-year-old victims Michael Moore, Christopher Byers and Stevie Branch, along with hair, has been at the lab since last fall.
