The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is reminding truckers that commercial vehicles are not exempt from registration requirements following a recent traffic stop in Merced County.
On the morning of June 17, 2026, CHP Officer Briones initiated a traffic stop on a commercial vehicle traveling in Livingston, California, for expired registration.
During the traffic stop, Officer Briones discovered that the truck’s registration had been expired since 2024.
CHP had the truck towed from the scene.
