Massachusetts high schoolers will have to complete a specific program of courses, take end-of-course exams and present a senior capstone project or portfolio under proposed high school graduation standards released by state leaders on Wednesday.
The blueprint also calls for seniors to show they’ve met financial and artificial intelligence literacy “milestones.” And they must complete (or opt out of) state or federal free applications for financial aid for higher education.
The report is a final set of recommendations developed over the past year and a half by a statewide graduation council composed of educators, state leaders and community members.
