Person rescued after being trapped in building collapse near NW Cache Road, flown to Oklahoma City hospital in serious condition

Lawton, OK – A person trapped in a building collapse in Lawton was rescued by firefighters on June 15 and transported to an Oklahoma City hospital in serious condition, according to the Lawton Fire Department.

The Department said its technical rescue team responded to the collapse near the intersection of NW Victory Avenue and NW Cache Road. Emergency crews launched a rescue operation after receiving reports that an individual was trapped within the collapsed structure.

At approximately 4:59 p.m., the Lawton Fire Department announced that the trapped individual had been successfully rescued. Officials said the person was flown by air ambulance to an Oklahoma City hospital for treatment of serious injuries…
