Francis Tuttle students finish refurbishing Route 66 U-Haul

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A few months ago, we told you about some Francis Tuttle students taking on a big project. They planned to fix up an old truck formerly used as a U-Haul with a big Route 66 mural on the side of it. It took about three months and a lot of elbow grease, but they have it looking like it just left the lot.

“It wouldn’t even run when we first got it. So, to be able to see it in the shape that it is now, it’s awesome,” automotive instructor Clint Drabek said.

“It was a very cool experience getting to work on this and letting it be a piece of history,” student Xavier Sambrano said…
