JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A man was found guilty of second-degree murder and currently faces up to 40 years behind bars in connection to the 2023 shooting death of 29-year-old Dan Belton, Hinds County District Attorney Jody E. Owens, II, announced Wednesday.
On Sept. 19, 2023, a woman reported to the Jackson Police Department that Belton, her boyfriend, was missing.
