Weld County crews will be making some big changes to County Road 17 between Mead and Platteville in the coming weeks, turning the intersection with County Road 34 into a four-way stop.
The intersection has been a two-way stop, with stop signs only for westbound-eastbound traffic along County Road 34.
“We’re always looking at how we can make our roads safer,” said Jason Maxey, Weld County Commissioner Pro Tem. “This marks the next step toward that goal at a busy intersection.
