Two of Hawaiʻi’s top young volleyball prospects have announced where they plan to continue their careers at the collegiate level.
Class of 2028 standouts Taimane Ainu’u of ʻIolani School and Kalena Diaz of Kamehameha Schools revealed their commitments this week, with Ainuʻu pledging to University of Texas and Diaz committing to the University of Michigan.
The two blue-chip recruits are also club teammates with Ka Ulukoa, one of Hawaiʻi’s premier volleyball programs. Both made announced their commitments on social media.
Ainuʻu, a versatile outside hitter and setter, is coming off a standout season in which she earned Gatorade Hawaiʻi Player of the Year honors. She is also a member of the U.S. Under-19 National Team and is ranked as the nation’s No. 2 recruit in the Class of 2028 by PrepDig…
