Indictment issued for man suspected of killing his 70-year-old father

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Hawaiʻi’s quiet Liliha neighborhood is still grappling with the death of a man many residents knew by name.

Honolulu Prosecutor Steve Alm announced on Wednesday, June 17, that an Oʻahu grand jury indicted Joshua Black, 32, on one count of second-degree murder in the death of his father, Jesus Black, 70.

According to the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney, the indictment stems from events on June 10.
