MILWAUKEE — A man charged with driving the wrong way while under the influence and crashing into a Milwaukee County sheriff’s deputy was placed on probation.
Zachariah Counsell of Milwaukee pled guilty to one felony count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and one misdemeanor for operating while intoxicated on June 17. The court dismissed another drunk driving-related misdemeanor.
Investigators say Counsell entered I-43 at Highland Avenue and drove the wrong way for over two miles, before slamming head on into a squad car near Wright Street on New Year’s Day…
