This past week, thousands of students in the Inland Northwest celebrated the culmination of their secondary education, donning caps and gowns to walk onstage to pick up their high school diploma before beginning the rest of their adult lives.
Meanwhile, leaders at the State Board of Education and community liaisons from across the state are working to change Washington’s high school graduation requirements for future classes.
