Man who spoke out about mobile park’s water woes served eviction notice

DUANESBURG — A resident who sounded the alarm about tainted drinking water at a local mobile home park has been served with an eviction notice.

Patrick Loucks said he received the notice on Wednesday, a week after he and other residents of the Hillcrest Villas Mobile Home Park told the Times Union that for the past 10 months, they’ve been advised by Schenectady County to boil water before drinking it or using it to prepare food. The notice says county health officials fear the water could be contaminated by microbes.

The eviction notice states Loucks’ tenancy will be terminated within 30 days for alleged violations that include “abuse or harassment of a company employee, community manager, or park liaison.” It also accuses him of “several occurrences of negative, aggressive behavior and verbal abuse” that Loucks aimed at park management and individuals affiliated with the park owner, Sam Obermeister…
