100+ western NC school officials to train for active shooter response

FLAT ROCK, N.C. (WLOS) — On Friday, June 19, more than 100 school resource officers and school administrators from across western North Carolina will train to respond to active shooter situations.

It will take place at Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock.

A nationally recognized expert, Ed Monk, who has spent more than 16 years researching school attacks and training others, will lead the session, according to Stand T.A.L.L.’s press release…
