Gov. Kay Ivey sets Jeremy Williams’ execution date in Kamarie Holland murder

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has set an execution date this summer for a Columbus man who brutally murdered and sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl.

The 2021 murder of Kamarie Holland drew state and national attention to Phenix City because it was a brutal sex trafficking case. Since his arrest the day after the murder, Jeremy Williams has insisted he is guilty and repeatedly asked for a speedy execution.

Thursday’s order by Ivey puts the execution day less than two months away…
