Higher fees for camping permits, services in Honolulu parks

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Residents planning to camp in city parks or reserve certain Department of Parks and Recreation facilities will soon see higher fees.

The City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation said beginning July 1, 2026, administrative fees for camping permits and attendant/custodian services at city facilities will increase.

DPR officials said the changes are part of ongoing efforts to support department operations while continuing to provide affordable recreational opportunities across Oʻahu.
