MAJOR Delays to Happen This Weekend in New York State

A project this big has not been done in about 40 years according to the New York State Thruway Authority. The 190 will be getting a complete makeover and it’s starting now.

The project is going to take a few years to complete but drivers will need to be aware that there will be tons of speeding cameras that will be set up and work zones and tons of lane closures happening for the next couple of years. This is going to set up an absolute disaster during rush hour for a long time.

The New York State Thruway Authority says that it is going cause major delays.

Here’s what you need to know about where the trouble spots are going to be:

  • The project will be completed in three phases
  • It will begin at Exit #1
  • It will go all the way to Exit #5 in Cheektowaga
  • It is going to last until 2028.
