Broward Health Coral Springs has become the first hospital in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties to complete 500 Aquablation therapy procedures for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly known as an enlarged prostate, the hospital announced.
The milestone highlights the hospital’s investment in advanced, patient-centered treatment options and coincides with Men’s Health Month in June, when healthcare organizations encourage men to seek care for common yet often overlooked conditions.
Aquablation therapy is a robotic-assisted, minimally invasive procedure that uses a heat-free waterjet to remove excess prostate tissue responsible for urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH.
