RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Plaza Truck — an online truck seller promising great deals on semi-trucks, pick-ups and vans — isn’t legitimate, according to the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
“Find the perfect truck with the best deals” — this slogan lives on the front screen of Richmond Plaza Truck’s website. Its “unbeatable selection” includes nearly two dozen trucks, trailers and related equipment for buyers looking for a deal. Chevrolet, Ford and GMC are just a few of the big-name manufacturers the website claims to sell.
8News saw one 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was listed for $18,000. A 2003 GMC dump truck was on sale for $8,700. The prices were less than half of what other online companies had listed similar vehicles for.
According to a complaint filed with the BBB, a caller from Indiana reported a listing for a 2021 GMC Yukon Denali being sold for $12,800. The caller asked if the business was legitimate and the BBB advised the caller against sending the money…
