TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)—A Tampa Bay father won his first World Series of Poker title in Las Vegas.
Juan Rodriguez won his first gold bracelet, which is the most coveted trophy in poker, and $673,011 after beating a field of 844 people in the WSOP $5,000 Seniors High Roller, according to Poker.org.
“I’ve been playing poker for a long time, and I really just have a lot of friends,” Rodriguez shared. “It’s so important to me that whenever you’re at the table, win or lose, that you always have a good presence and you gain respect from your opponents.”
