After a yearlong break and new motherhood, El Paso’s Kayla Gomez set for pro debut

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — After a yearlong break and recently becoming a mother, El Paso boxer Kayla Gomez will make her professional debut.

Gomez is set to fight Shayntain Creer in Long Beach, California, for her pro debut on Friday.

ARC anchor, boxer and Gomez’s sparring partner Christian Andrade interviewed her on Thursday ahead of her fight, where she shared her excitement about returning to the ring after she became a mother.

“I’m feeling great. I’m excited to be back,” Gomez said. “I’m ready to show people what ‘The Truth’ is made out of… I’m ready to put on a show for y’all [El Paso] specifically.”…
