SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO)– The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Deputy Secretary was in Sioux Falls Thursday.
Paul Lawrence was in town to get an update on the medical center’s implementation of the Federal Electronic Health Record system, which is expected to go live in May 2027.
“It combines all our veterans’ information in one place so they don’t have to say the same stories over and over,” said Lawrence. “And importantly for our veterans who serve in the reserves and the like, we have all the information about their service, so when they come here, we can give them the care that is most appropriate; we don’t have to search for records.”…
