Rensselaer County to host America 250 celebration in Schaghticoke

SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Fourth of July is right around the corner, and cities all across the U.S. are gearing up to commemorate the country’s semiquincentennial. Rensselaer County will be hosting their America 250 celebration at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds on June 26.

The patriotic festival will feature multiple performances, including a Revolutionary War reenactment and a grand finale fireworks show. The event, which kicks off at 4 p.m., will also showcase a plethora of classic fair delights, ranging from burgers, hot dogs, and fries, to sandwiches, ice cream, and fresh lemonade.

  • 4:30 p.m. – Joe Adee & The Lugnuts
  • 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – magician
  • 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Revolutionary War reenactment
  • 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. – 42nd Infantry Band
  • Finale – fireworks show
