BALTIMORE, MD—Maryland ranks among the most patriotic states in the nation, driven by high voter turnout and robust educational standards in civics, according to a study released by personal-finance website WalletHub.
The report, which evaluated all 50 states ahead of the Independence Day holiday, placed Maryland eighth overall on its list of 2026’s Most Patriotic States in America. Analysts examined each state across 13 key metrics, measuring civic engagement and military participation to assess national pride.
