Swedish Retail Giant Set to Take Over Former Sears Space at Walden Galleria.
One of the world’s most recognizable home furnishing retailers is finally making its long-awaited move into Western New York.
IKEA announced plans to open a new location inside Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga, giving local shoppers access to the popular Swedish furniture and home décor brand without having to travel hours outside the region.
The new store is expected to open early next year and will occupy a significant portion of the former Sears and Sears Auto Center space located at the north end of the mall.
