The National Weather Service issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning at 2:17 p.m. on Friday in effect until 2:45 p.m. for Niagara County.
Wind gusts of up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail (1 inch) are expected.
“At 2:17 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Lockport, moving east at 15 mph,” according to the weather service. “Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.”…
