Tri-State neighbors demand action after speeding issues lead to frequent crashes

FORT THOMAS, Ky. (WKRC) – Residents along Grandview Avenue here in Northern Kentucky’s third-largest city say speeding drivers and frequent crashes have turned their neighborhood street into a recurring hazard, with some homeowners replacing vehicles multiple times after they were hit while parked.

Bill Ross, who lives on Grandview Avenue, said he did not realize how serious the problem was when he moved there in 2022.

“We had no idea how bad the traffic situation was as far as street parking and dealing with this issue,” Ross said.

Within two years of moving in, Ross said his car was hit in the parking lot across the street by a drunk driver who totaled two other cars. Then last month, Ross said another driver hit his same car while it was parked along the street across from his house, resulting in a total loss.
