Serial Robber Convicted by Jury in Florida

A serial robber was convicted by a jury in Florida. A federal jury has found 55-year-old John Flowers Grissom, of Jacksonville, guilty of possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and possession of an unregistered, short-barreled rifle without a serial number.

The jury further found that Grissom had three or more convictions for robberies that were committed on different occasions, thus subjecting him to an enhanced penalty as an Armed Career Criminal.

According to evidence presented at trial, on September 30, 2024, three young men were playing basketball in Jacksonville when one of them discovered he had lost his keys. While retracing his steps, the young man encountered Grissom and asked whether Grissom had seen his keys…
