Dangerous “feels like” temps hit triple digits in Houston area ahead of thunderstorms tonight

HOUSTON – Happening now until Saturday: The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until Saturday night.

As soon as you step outside, you’ll feel the heat and humidity! Morning temperatures will start near 80 degrees before climbing into the low to mid-90s during the afternoon. When you factor in the humidity, however, it will feel more like 105 to 110 degrees for much of the day.

We’re also keeping an eye on a few scattered showers and thunderstorms developing late in the day and into Friday night as a weak boundary approaches from the north. Not everyone will see rain, but any storm that develops could produce brief heavy downpours due to the tropical moisture in place. Most of the day will be dry, with the best chance for rain arriving after sunset and continuing overnight…
