The Lubbock Juneteenth Committee kicked off its celebration of events for the 2026 Rise Up Weekend on Thursday afternoon with a press conference and children’s activities.
This was the first of eight events in the Rise Up Juneteenth series, running from June 18 to June 22 around the federal Juneteenth holiday on Friday.
