New Orleans police name suspect in car burglary turned fraud case

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department has named a suspect in a car burglary case that police say led to $500 in fraudulent purchases. It’s a case that we first reported in a previous Wheel of Justice report.

According to police, the crime happened on Sunday, May 17, around 8:30 a.m., near the corner of City Park Avenue and Allard Boulevard. Someone burglarized a car and stole a woman’s purse with bank cards inside of it.

Police say that a short time later, a man was recorded at the Walmart on Tchoupitoulas Street making $500 dollars in fraudulent purchases with one of the stolen cards…
