With input from the community, some Broomfield city staff will be spending more than a year working on new versions of two documents that help guide the city’s governance.
The documents set to see changes are the comprehensive plan and transportation plan, which are both updated about every decade, according to Lynn Merwin, the city’s planning director.
“It’s a heavy lift to update these plans, because they are so comprehensive and they cut across almost every department in the city,” Merwin said. “It’s just a major undertaking, and so doing it every 10 years, and then allowing programs, policies and development to follow along over those 10 years seems to be the right pace that we’ve found.”…
