SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Natural History Museum of Utah is inviting Utahns of all ages to join its insect-themed LEGO contest for the chance to win prizes and have their creation displayed in the museum.
According to a press release from the Natural History Museum of Utah (NHMU), the contest is inspired by their current exhibition: Bug World. The exhibition showcases the “genius of insects and the wide influence bugs have on global society, technology and ecosystems,” NHMU says.
For the contest, NHMU has partnered with BrickSlopes and the Utah LEGO Users Group. They offered guidance on the official rules and generously contributed LEGO-themed prize packs.
To promote the contest, Weston Bindrup, a local LEGO builder, submitted a “fully-custom, large-scale grasshopper build for the museum to display.”…
