A house fire on the 7300 block of 24th Street West in University Place brought a heavy response from firefighters early Friday, and officials are telling everyone to steer clear of the area while they work.
Crews with West Pierce Fire & Rescue are still operating at the scene, and traffic is being discouraged on nearby streets as hoses, engines and aid units crowd the block. There was no immediate word on injuries or how badly the home was damaged while firefighters continued their operations.
