Steady, soaking rains are expected to make for a very soggy Sunday across the Chicago area and could lead to localized flash flooding in some parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service.
Widespread rainfall is expected to hit the area in the late morning and continue throughout the day and into the evening as showers move across the region from the southwest to the northeast.
