TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Quiet, dry conditions continue this Father’s Day weekend, with highs staying in the triple digits. Expect plenty of sunshine and cool morning starts, then a quick warm-up by late morning. Afternoon breezes stick around through the weekend and into the workweek.

Sunday also marks the start of astronomical summer. The summer solstice arrives at 1:23 a.m. MST, when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky—making it the longest day of the year. Tucson will see 14 hours and 16 minutes of daylight, with sunrise at 5:17 a.m. and sunset at 7:33 p.m.

High pressure keeps the heat building through the workweek, with temperatures hovering near 110°. A few models hint at some moisture trying to sneak into Southeast Arizona by midweek, but the overall pattern stays hot and mostly dry. By late week into next weekend, dry heat looks to take over again…
