Two emergency countywide backup calls in Dayton on Sunday morning

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two countywide all-available units emergency backup calls were sent out by law enforcement, only an hour apart, on Sunday morning.

The emergency call, known as a Signal 99 to local police officers, is a fairly rare event as it means dozens of officers must respond. Both were quickly canceled after being sent out.

Chrysler Union Hall

The first backup call was at approximately 2:15 a.m. and canceled at approximately 2:25 a.m. for a report of an active shooter in the Chrysler Union Hall (150 Heid Avenue).
