The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office has identified an 18-year-old woman whose identity remained unknown for months after her death in February, authorities announced on June 12.
The Coroner’s Division announced that the woman was identified as Layla White after a social worker contacted investigators and said she recognized information released publicly by the sheriff’s office.
