CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Showers and storms will be making a return over the next several hours.
Lows overnight fall into the mid 50s to low 60s. Scattered showers begin to push in from the west after 3 AM as our Father’s Day rainmaker arrives.
Widespread rain is expected to spread across eastern Iowa through the morning hours on Sunday. Through the late morning and early afternoon, everyone can expect to see light to moderate rain with a few rumbles of thunder. The heaviest rainfall will be found south of I-80 where 1 to 2 inches could fall with locally higher emounts. Farther north, lighter amounts are expected with spots north of highway 20 getting a quarter to half inch. Clouds and showers keep us cooler on Sunday with highs in the mid 60s…
