Drying out early this week before additional rain chances

What We’re Tracking

  • Flash Flooding
  • Scattered storms today
  • Unsettled second half

A Flash Flood warning is in effect for many of our eastern counties including Shawnee, Jackson, Jefferson, Wabaunsee, Pottawatomie, and Osage County until 7:15am. If you come across flood waters, do not try to drive through them. Turn around, don’t drown. A Flood Watch is also in effect until 1pm. We’re expecting the thunderstorm activity to carry over into our Sunday afternoon. There is a Slight Risk for those storms to become strong to severe for areas along and south of I-70.

Conditions dry out by Monday, with temperatures settling back into the middle to upper 70s to begin the week.

However, we do not stay dry for long with another chance of showers and storms by late Wednesday night through the rest of the week. Overall, temperatures continue to trend below average.
