A historic home at 1396 Logan St. is being redesigned and rebuilt after an unapproved demolition earlier this year.
The previous structure was torn down Feb. 26. The owner had obtained permits to make changes to the existing building but was not given permission to tear it down in full. What was supposed to be an approved renovation turned into a full demolition when the contractor noticed an integrity issue with the foundation and, because of a miscommunication about the limits of the permits and safety concerns, the structure was torn down.
