Vesuvio Pizzeria Napoletana, the Neapolitan pie shop that built a loyal following in downtown Kennesaw, is on its way to Powder Springs. Owners Massimo and Lindsay Andreozzi are planning a second restaurant in a renovated storefront at 4469 Marietta St in the heart of downtown. The new spot promises the same wood-fired pies and Italian-imported ingredients that helped make the Kennesaw original a neighborhood staple.
Massimo and Lindsay have been talking up the expansion with regional outlets, and the new Powder Springs space is expected to span roughly 2,300 square feet, according to What Now Atlanta. Business Debut reported that the dining room will accommodate about 70 to 80 guests and that the team plans to beef up its gelato lineup at the Powder Springs location.
Where It Will Be
Powder Springs’ meeting agenda lists an alcohol-pouring license for “4469 Marietta St Vesuvio Pizzeria,” a signal that the city is already processing permits tied to the build-out, according to the City of Powder Springs meeting agenda. That application, filed as AL-26-002, appeared on the March council packet for review. The plan puts Vesuvio within an easy walk of Thurman Springs Park and several existing downtown restaurants.
