I’m writing to add a voice to the campaign to add an Edna’s on the Green-type experience for the golfers and residents of Tierra Del Sol.
We (my husband and I) are new to The Villages; we settled on our property in February. Our first night in our new house was spent in the bar of Tierra Del Sol Bar & Grill. Our initial thought was that it seemed dated and tired, and it was pretty quiet on a Thursday night at 8 p.m. We are barely 60 and began to wonder if we made the right decision.
My next experience was completely the opposite — I wandered in on a show night, and it was packed! I started talking to the couple next to me and thoroughly enjoyed my evening. I was surprised and excited to hear about the theater since we moved here from Northern Virginia, where I’ve often attended the Kennedy Center. I was quickly deflated when I learned the theater at Tierra Del Sol was closing, and shortly thereafter, so did the bar and restaurant…
