That’s right, Austin-based Detroit-style pizza chain Via 313, the No. 1 gluten-free pizza in America, is partnering with fellow Austin-born brand Terry Black’s Barbecue for a limited-time collaboration, the companies announced in a news release. Starting on Thursday, June 18, and going through August 2, Via 313 is launching The Desperado, a pizza made with barbecue exclusively from Terry Black’s.
“In Texas, barbecue and pizza have both built large followings, but they don’t usually share the same plate,” Via 313 wrote in a news release. “That’s changing this summer.”
The Desperado pairs Terry Black’s jalapeno cheddar sausage with pickled jalapenos, spicy pickled pineapple, red onions, pork spice rub and Terry Black’s spicy barbecue sauce.
