SAN ANTONIO — A 36-year-old man was found dead in his backyard after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to an arrest affidavit, San Antonio police officers responded to a shooting around 2:45 p.m. on June 19 in the 900 block of South San Augustine. They found David Alai Rodriguez Cabrera, 36, lying on the ground in his backyard. He was pronounced dead on the scene with gunshot wounds.
Julio Castro, 36, was identified as the suspect. Witnesses reported seeing Castro leave the residence after gunshots were heard. Multiple .357-caliber shell casings were recovered at the scene, along with a Glock Model 31 handgun.
