Starting Sunday night, multicolor lasers will beam light into the sky over downtown San Francisco as part of a new public art project called 7×7. This display will run overnight from June 21 through July 4 and is intended to celebrate San Francisco’s Pride festival, the FIFA World Cup, and America’s 250th birthday celebration on the 4th of July.
The display is slated to run every night from sunset to sunrise.
These lasers were organized by the nonprofit Illuminate, which also leads the other major light displays in the city such as the Bay Bridge lights and the Market Street Pride Flag lights. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie’s Office also collaborated on bringing this project forward…
