ALBANY- Governor Kathy Hochul announced that New York State has reached a tentative five-year contract agreement with the Public Employees Federation (PEF), covering approximately 60,000 state employees in professional, scientific, and technical positions.
The proposed contract would run through April 1, 2031, and is subject to ratification by union members.
Under the agreement, PEF members would receive annual salary increases of 4.5 percent, 4 percent, 3.5 percent, 3 percent and 3 percent over the life of the contract.
