Man files guilty plea on federal cocaine possession, distribution charge

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – One man accused of charges related to alleged cocaine trafficking filed a plea agreement in Amarillo Federal Court on Thursday, after being indicted in late April.

According to court documents, 48-year-old Adrian Lydell Gardner filed a plea agreement on one charge of “Possession with Intent to Distribute 500 Grams or More of Cocaine.” Gardner was previously indicted in April on that charge as well as one count of alleged “Conspiracy to Distribute or Possess with Intent to Distribute 500 Grams or more of Cocaine.”

The charge stems from Nov. 20, 2025, according to court documents. Law enforcement reported Gardner allegedly traveled between Amarillo and Lubbock on that day while under investigation for suspected drug trafficking. When he was pulled over that evening in Amarillo on outstanding Potter County warrants, law enforcement said Gardner allegedly “sped away” in his vehicle.
