GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — For new Green Bay YMCA Swim Team head coach Alec Jeffers, the journey to leading the program feels like the natural next step in a lifetime spent around the pool.
Jeffers, a Bay Port High School graduate and former standout swimmer at UW-Stevens Point, was introduced to the sport at a young age by his father, Steve, who spent years coaching the Bay Port High School swim team.
“When I was coaching high school, when he was probably 10 or 12 years old, he was always by my side,” Steve Jeffers said. “He always wanted to help with lineups and matchups against other teams.”…
