SAN ANTONIO — Get ready to explore the cosmos without ever leaving downtown San Antonio!
A new interactive attraction, “Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience,” is set to open Thursday, July 2, at The Shops at Rivercenter, giving visitors the chance to journey through space, witness the birth and death of stars and come face-to-face with a black hole – and you don’t even have to leave the Alamo City.
Organizers said guests will travel alongside some of humanity’s most powerful observatories, including the Hubble Space Telescope, James Webb Space Telescope and Chandra X-ray Observatory, while exploring distant galaxies, extreme exoplanets and other cosmic entities. The experience lasts approximately 40 minutes and is recommended for guests ages 10 and older. Tickets are available now through the Fever app and website.
What can visitors expect?
