TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — A Kenmore East High School senior is being credited with saving his neighbor’s life.
School officials say Caelob Wilkins was at home on June 13 when he learned that his neighbor was having an issue with her dialysis machine, which was causing bleeding from her femoral artery. According to the school’s release, the woman has to undergo dialysis every day, but during treatment her access port came loose, causing bleeding from her leg. Despite losing a significant amount of blood, she was able to call a friend for help before she lost consciousness.
